When I painted my first "Make-Shift Angel" back in 2007, I didn't expect it to become a series, but time has proven otherwise. This version was inspired by a pose of SilvieTstock's on DeviantArt. The shape of her crossed arms immediately brought Poe's infamous poem to mind, and the pattern of typical autopsy stitches fit it perfectly.
