A fox cub ponders the feather it has found. The color of both symbolizes positive action, just as the fox's youth imbues it with the spiritual illumination and liberation of new-born innocence. It is the same innocence that one rediscovers upon finding illumination and/or is granted by the same. The four elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water are represented by four of the eight sunflowers present; the remainder stand for the four kingdoms of Nature (human, animal, vegetable, and mineral).
While I'm happy with how this painting turned out, I may try yet another version of the sun card before declaring this one the official card. There's far too many variations on the theme in my mind and notebook, several of which are with pursuing. Then again, given a shortage of time and patience, this version may well win by default.
