Paintings: Arsenic & Old Lace

"Arsenic & Old Lace"
5 x 7"
Acrylic on canvas board

Once dedicated to a "Nevermore" lifestyle, one develops a taste for odd things--like poisonous wallpaper! Green wallpaper, green dresses, green everything was all the rage in the Victorian era... until people realized that the arsenic responsible for the vivid hue was just as dangerous in close quarters as it was when ingested. Given that Mr. Nevermore is a smoker, I'm not sure he cares!
